About
Emily Kobayashi Woods is an artist that grew up and lives in Colorado. She is a High School Visual Art Teacher after her educational program at Regis University where she received a bachelor’s degree in visual arts with an emphasis in education. She graduated from Regis with high honors receiving Summa Cum Laude and being inducted into Alpha Sigma Nu. She is currently receiving her master’s in K-12 Art Education from University of Florida. Emily creates her art through drawing and painting. She uses a range of dry media to create her drawings, and uses oil paint to create her paintings. The unrest in America and her participation in protests in 2020 have heavily influenced her recent work. Her art work has been displayed at Edge, a contemporary art gallery, and at an art pop up through Los Fantasmas. She also has been published in two editions of Loophole through Regis Publications and in a Black Excellence coloring book through Alpha Sigma Nu.
